Way Green Single Stream Recycling Service
The Way Green recycle program is underway
in Gleneagle North. Over 120 homeowners are already enjoying the benefits
of the simple and convenient method to recycle. You can add the
Way Green recycle service any time by calling the HOA
(488-5883) and leaving a voice mail with name, address and phone number.
You can call Bestway directly (633-8709) and request service start.
Finally you can mail the HOA a note requesting service. In all cases you
will be invoiced once service is started.
The fee is $5.00 per month (in addition to the regular trash service
charge). Service can be started anytime and it will be prorated for
unused weeks in a month. It takes about two weeks from the time you
request the start of service until the recycle barrel is delivered.
Recycle pick up is the same day and normal trash on Monday.
After July 1, 2009, the existing limited recycle bin service will
discontinue. This results in a loss of service for which the HOA assesses
each homeowner. As such, the BOD approved a $2.00 per month Trash
Assessment reduction for the final 6 months of 2009 from July 1, 2009 to
December 31, 2009. The current trash assessment service of $8.00 a month
still applies through June 30, 2009.

What if I’m an out of town homeowner that have renters?
Charges for all trash/recycle service are the homeowner’s responsibility.
If your renter desires the Way Green service,
they should contact you directly, and request that you order the service.
If a renter happens to contact the HOA or Bestway directly, the HOA will direct
the renters to contact you, the homeowner. We desire this process to make
sure that the homeowner is aware of the additional charges.
Now that I’m recycling more, can I change my current Bestway 91 gallon size?
Yes, there are two smaller size basic trash barrels available, 64 or 31 gallon
barrels. For the convenience of doing it at one time, if you desire to
downsize your barrel for 91 gallon, ask for the change at the time of sign up
. The change will occur when the Way Green
recycle barrels are delivered.
New Recycle barrel delivery/change of existing 91 gallon container!
Just contact Bestway and the HOA anytime. Recycle and smaller trash barrels
exchange will be on a Monday and your can the Way Green
pick up the following week. For those changing out barrels, leave your 91
gallon out front of your home and it will be exchanged.
Can I down size my barrel size if I’m not signed up for Way Green?
Not until after our current contract expires on Dec 31, 2009.
Our current contract calls for 91 gallon barrels. With only six months
left on our current contract, Bestway is unable to recoup the investment of a
new barrel as there is a limited supply of smaller barrels due to the new
recycle program.
Is there anything special I need to do with the Way
Green recycle barrel on trash day? Since
the Way Green service is automated, the
Recycle barrel needs to be separated from the normal trash barrel by 3-5
feet. There should be no cars parked in front of the recycle barrel and
enough space should be given for the recycle truck to have access to the
barrel.
What can be recycled under the Way Green program?
The Way Green program is the most
comprehensive recycling program available.
